Boat and Fishing Show at the Lansing Center

The 13th annual event, mid-Michigan's turn on the Ultimate Sport Show Tour, has evolved into a family-fun boating and fishing extravaganza!  Boaters and sport fishermen will be able to shop for the newest models of boats, boating accessories, fishing tackle and outdoor gear.  Outfitters Expo offers opportunities to book charter fishing trips, fly-ins, lodges and cottages in Michigan, Canada and beyond.  Family features include the Trout Pond, Woodcarvers, the Rock Climb and Kids Casting Lessons.

The cafe at the Lansing Center will be the site of the 13th Annual Fish Fry at the Boat & Fishing Show.  A basket of walleye fillets in a special breading mix will be served up with fries and slaw at a "family price" throughout the show.

Trout Pond

Challenging anglers of all ages!  Even if you come just to watch you will see the highest catch precentage of any trout pond you have ever seen.  Manned by members of the Lansing Chapter of Trout Unlimited.

Greater Lansing Area Woodcarvers

The Greater Lansing Area Woodcarvers will set up a unique presentation of sculpted creations and will have live carving demonstrations every day!  Everything from the incredibly lifelike to the whimsically humorous will be on display.

Fly Tyers' Corner

Area fly tying experts give non-stop demonstrations, question and answer and hands-on classes.

Antique Lures and Vintage Camping Gear

According to the members of the Michigan Lure Collectors Club, antique tackle retains all the allure of exciting fishing trips of days gone by.  Club member Terry McBurney will set up this display along with several other experts.  Bring in your old tackle and outdoor equipment for free appraisals.  You may have a fortune rusting away in that old tackle box!
